As we have already said, Videoclub is a pop group in the style, which made a splash on the Internet and toured even in America! Adele Castillon, the second half of Videoclub, has already introduced Nous and Impala, while Mathieo Reino, under the pseudonym, Mattyeux launched his indie-poop, publishing Break Up Diaries and Sometimes.

But who is better to talk about and talk about it freely? Mathieu has a carte blanche to talk about his solo project, answering five questions! What do you remember over the years of experience, success and tours?

I remember all the happiness that we experienced by going around the whole of France, giving concerts, meeting fans, and all the good times that we spent as a duet. This is a rarity, to have a similar experience, being so young. In general, when the group breaks up, and each acquires its own path, this does not cancel those beautiful stories lived together. Yes, and making music alone is also pleasant.

To do this with a duet is great, but my own music is more introspective. I don’t know how to explain this to you ... 2. What do you think, what are the reasons for the success of Videoclub? Are you hoping to repeat it? What happened to Videoclub is partly a miracle, we must admit. But yes, I'm sure that music can be heard by millions of people around the world. If my music reaches the same thing that has reached Videoclub, then well.

I no longer have numbers that I would seek. I just want to release the music that I love for people who love her too! Besides the miracle, do you have an explanation for this success? I think we just found ourselves in the right place at the right time. The luck factor is also present. It is difficult to judge this, but, probably, it was fresh, new, modern. Teenagers really liked it.

They need love stories and fresh songs, and we had it. Our songs have become especially popular in Mexico and South America. Since they are in French, they are well understood there. From a musical point of view, what can you do in a solo project, what could not in Videoclub? For example, here I have freedom to make 5-minute songs and make them less similar to the mainstream, add less pop elements to them, but more than rock.

The predominance of the pop jeanra was neither the decision of Adele or the label, this was part of the plan. Videoclub quickly became a large project with the appearance on the radio, etc. We still had to delve into the rules of this game. I did not do this reluctantly, because it was an excellent experience, but my project is more independent than Videoclub. My goal is not to get on the radio.

It is difficult to choose the name for the style. But I would define mine as bright, indie, again and again retro. This is what I started, and it is with me forever. Also a little rock. The final answer: indie. And the last question, your future projects? I would like to give concerts, find musicians, hold a cool tour with them. I am preparing an album for autumn I hope that this project will last until the end of my life!

To date, I have two tracks, “Break Up Diaries” and “Toometimes” - a collaboration with an artist whom I have been listening since childhood, Princess Chelsea. Under the first clip near the comments, although it was posted a few weeks ago. It is hard to believe that people are still going there. There are comments that I do not understand, but it still laughs nicely!
