Following the advice of the monk, Roden plunged into the craft with his head. Most of the works of that time were performed anonymously, but it is known that Auguste Roden designed the facade of the Gelen Theater and Foya Gaite.

Art historians suggest that the “dying slave” of the great Michelangelo inspired him to create a sculpture. The work entailed the scandal of critics did not believe in Rodin’s skill, suggesting that he introduced the public not a ready -made sculpture, but a cast from his body. And yet, the “bronze age”, also called the “defeated”, brought recognition.
