The exposition is opened by V. Grigoryev’s publication “Henryk Venushavsky”, which introduces readers to the biography of the musician. E. Chekalsky’s book “Magic Violin” is curious, telling about the early musical development of little Henryk, about the atmosphere of the Venyavsky house, where music often sounded performed by prominent masters, about the role of the mother in the creative fate of the future maestro.
The next section presents publications on the history of Russian violin performing, Polish musical culture, essays, articles and research on the analysis of Venevsky’s creative life and its contribution to Russian musical culture. It was in Moscow and St. Petersburg that he gave his first independent concerts. Especially close creative and human contacts were established by the artist with Anton Grigoryevich Rubinstein.
At the initiative of the latter, Venevsky settled in St. Petersburg for a long time. In the year, he became the “soloist of the imperial theaters”, and soon a professor of the conservatory, the first in Russia in the class of violin and the chamber ensemble. At the same time, he regularly participated in chamber evenings, played together with A. Rubinstein, K. Davydov, L.
Auer and others, acted as an accompanist of the symphony orchestra, headed the quartet of the Russian musical society. The exhibition is completed by musical albums of the works of maestro violin, which occupy a strong place in the repertoire of musicians. Guno ”,“ Memories of Moscow ”.
