On October 23, Anatoly Vitalyevich Nikolaev, an honorary head of the Department of Topographic Anatomy and Operational Surgery of the IKM named after N. The talent of a surgeon -experimenter and organizer of scientific research was manifested during the period of work in Tsnil in the post of manager - GG. He organized a number of new laboratories and created a powerful experimental center. Seven scientific collections were published under his editorship. He managed to organize strong cooperation of clinicians and experimenters.

From a year to the present, A. Nikolaev worked at the Department of Operational Surgery and Topographic Anatomy. The main directions of scientific research by A. Nikolaev are collagenoplasty, the study of reparative processes for injuries, topography of the spine, the fascial -ligamentous apparatus of the pelvis, topography of blood vessels, topographic - anatomical substantiation of new operational access, including video -regional.

The scientific work of A. Nikolaev is covered in published works. He is the author of the discovery and 28 inventions. He created a school school of three doctors and 28 candidates of medical sciences. Nikolaev was awarded the medal “For Merit before the First Moscow State Medical University named after I. Sechenov” in the field of pedagogical activity A. Nikolaev created a new modular program in the discipline, under his leadership seven methodological developments were written for students and teachers.

Co-author of the textbook "Topographic anatomy and operational surgery"-4th edition edited by academician V. The author of the new textbook "Topographic Anatomy and Operational Surgery", in the year for the first time in Russia translated into English. In addition, A. Nikolaev is the author of two monographs and two practical guidelines. Nikolaev was a member of the editorial board of the magazines “Annals of Surgery”, “Operational Surgery and Clinical Anatomy of the Pirogovsky Scientific Journal” and “Medical Courier”.

Anatoly Vitalievich was remembered by students and colleagues as a highly qualified teacher and teacher of student youth, his lectures and practical classes were distinguished by a high level of professionalism.
